
Troubled Waters: Music and spoken word of The Black Church

As part of Black History Month, the Forde Concert Series is excited to present “TROUBLED WATERS: PICTURES FROM A BLACK EXHIBITION” on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m., at Christ Church Riverdale, 5040 Henry Hudson Parkway East, Bronx 10471. Produced by Negritude Theater Company, “Troubled Waters,” a music-drama, depicts moments in Black history through the lens of the Black American church in four acts: “Africa and the Crossing,” “Slavery and Christianity,” “Reconstruction,” and “The Civil Rights Movement and Present Day.” Tickets are $35 on Eventbrite, or $40 general admission / $20 students at the door.
