Tempest Tossed: A Shakespeare Cabaret

A magical and inspiring one-night-only presentation of “Tempest Tossed,” New Place Players’ transformative and approachable new adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic “The Tempest.”

Guests will enjoy artisanal hors d’oeuvres, wines and a full bar, and an evening of boundless imagination engaging with themes relevant to our current moment including justice, restoration, freedom, and forgiveness.  And it’s all going down at The Players, the historic members-only clubhouse for artists and creatives on Gramercy Park.

This evening is a fundraiser for University Settlement, a social services and advocacy organization that impacts the lives of 40,000 New Yorkers every year. Each ticket meaningfully supports University Settlement’s Adult Literacy program, which shares free English classes, work readiness support, and civics education with 450 of our newest neighbors weaving their own NYC dreams every year. And $160 of each ticket is tax-deductible.
