The ceremony will be presided by Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine and Deputy Commissioner of Family Permanency Services Ina Mendez and includes dedication of mural by artist David Rios Ferreira.

WHEN: March 30 at 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: 120 East 16th Street, 11th Floor New York, NY 10003

WHY: To invite community members and leaders, along with Spence-Chapin families and supporters, to celebrate a new era of Spence-Chapin in our new headquarters. As an organization that has been helping to build and support families in New York City since the turn of the twentieth century, Spence-Chapin has been critical in founding best practices for adoption services and support in the United States and will continue to grow these services and more to reach children, women, and families who need them. The new headquarters, in a highly accessible location, will provide the space to host a variety of new community events and offer a wide range of therapy and counseling services to meet different needs. The offices will also support Spence-Chapin’s international programs, including the Granny Program, which serves more than 200 children living in orphanages in South Africa and Colombia, and continues to expand.

ABOUT SPENCE-CHAPIN: Spence-Chapin’s mission is to help find loving families for children whatever their needs or circumstances and provide counseling and support for all children and the families to whom they have been born or entrusted. Their vision is a world where adoption is a celebrated choice, every child belongs, and all families are embraced.
