Make Me Famous, a new 1980s NYC art documentary, which has been playing NYC for four months is making a Brooklyn Premiere on Nov. 29 at the Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg

Critically Acclaimed. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

A madcap romp through the 1980’s NYC art scene amid the colorful career of painter, Edward Brezinski, hell-bent on making it. Brezinski’s quest for fame reveals an intimate portrait of the art world’s attitude towards success and failure, fame and fortune, notoriety and erasure.

Make Me Famous brings forward a popular era while unearthing many artists, photographers, and stories that have seldom been in the public eye. The 1980s art scene is famous for break-out artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, but there were many other artists who made a powerful impact. Make Me Famous tells the story of the Lower East Side art movement through an unknown artist, putting creativity itself centerstage.
