
Haitian Cooking Class with Nadege Fleurimond

Join Flatbush Library for a cooking demo and celebration of Haitian cuisine with cookbook author and chef, Nadege Fleurimond. Learn how to prepare pikliz, a delicious, pickled relish and Haitian cuisine staple from Chef Fleurimond.
Haitian-Style Meatballs and Fried Plantains with pikliz will be available to sample for free. Fleurimond will discuss Haitian food culture here in Brooklyn and her writing journey as a cookbook author. The cooking demo and discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
Haiti Uncovered delves into the art of Haitian Cuisine and brings into focus the beauty of Haiti through its diverse culinary traditions while offering to Haitians and non-Haitians an opportunity to explore and learn about Haiti as a whole.
