Film at The Africa Center Presents “Sudan, Remember Us”

In partnership with the African Film Festival and co-presented by Sarra + Selma Idris Present, Film at The Africa Center showcases a selection of films by emerging African filmmakers. The films reflect a range of genres, themes, and visual styles, allowing audiences to experience the vibrant tapestry of African cinema.
The monthly series kicks off with a presentation of three films: Sudan, Remember Us, a documentary film by Hind Meddeb featuring a collective portrait of the young Sudanese generation fighting for freedom; Is It War?, a 5-minute short about an artist disconnected from his Sudanese roots who grapples with the horrors of war and his fragmented identity; and Bougainvillea, a fictional narrative centered on a group of women imprisoned during the revolution and the community they form.
