Crafty Thursdays!

Get creative with us during Crafty Thursday—special afternoons filled with art, color, and hands-on fun! On select Thursdays, kids can try new craft projects, explore different art techniques, and take home their own unique creations. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination!

September 18th- Taino Peiroglyphs @ 4:30 PM

Discover the ancient art of the Taíno people in our Petroglyphs Workshop! Kids will explore the history and meaning behind these carved symbols, then create their own designs inspired by this Indigenous Caribbean tradition.

September 25th- Hero Pins (inspired by Latinx historical figures) @ 4:30 PM

Celebrate inspiring Latinx figures by creating your own Hero Pins! Learn about trailblazers from history, art, science, and activism, then design and make colorful buttons to honor their legacy. A fun, creative way to wear some historical facts and share their stories!

These programs are intended for ages 5+ and will be held in person at the Mott Haven Library.
