NYC Opera

New York City Opera performs a fully staged version of the beloved Bizet classic, Carmen. Glorious melodies bring to life the story of the tempestuous yet irresistible seductress Carmen and her hapless lover Don José in one of the most famous operas of all time.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America returns this summer with 25 unforgettable, completely free shows from now until September 12! For the fifth consecutive summer, crowds descend on the Bryant Park lawn for free performances of what would otherwise be high-priced, sought-after tickets. New Yorkers won’t have to go far or spend much to experience the best the city has to offer in terms of live performances. Not in NYC? Not a problem, select shows will be available to stream at BryantPark.org. This year’s acts feature the most diverse collection of performers yet, ranging from classic orchestras to gamelan, dance, and a special evening with three-time Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant.
